Went to Newton Lake just south of Effingham IL on Saturday
Ronnie, Ronnie Junior and I left about 4:30 saturday morning and drove 3:15 to Newton Lake. Newton is a power plant lake where the fishing is supposed to be really good in Feb/March. We couldn't wait so we checked it out and I like the lake and I bet in a month or so will be really good. Junior caught a 4-5 healthy fish on a brown/orange jig next to the weed edge.
