Cappy and I fished the Alhonna Tournament again this year.
The first day of fishing was really tough for me. I didn't catch any keepers. Cappy caught 3 keeper fishing allowing us to weigh in with just under 10lbs. Day two, Cappy caught two keepers and around 12:30 I caught a 6.77 large mouth. Here's what happened.
Cappy took us to the back of a cove and we were in 4-6 ft of water. When we reached the very last dock in the back of the cove I heard something move under the dock. I flipped a Omega Jig with a Sweet Beaver trailer underneath the dock and back lashed the real slightly, as I was pulling out a couple winds of string I saw my line take off in the water. I set the hook and Cappy netted him. Then we left that cove and fished the very last cove on the way into Alhonna. Flipped the same jig up under a dock and caught another fishing probably around 5lbs. Cappy called it a miracle.
Here is a link to the results.
